Shoestring Digital Logistics Requirements Workshop

Shoestring is hosting a workshop on low-cost digitalisation for logistics companies at the UK Warehousing Association’s (UKWA) next annual conference on 8 March at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Stratford-upon-Avon.

During the event, workshop participants will have the opportunity to learn about the pilot solutions being developed by the Shoestring team and hear success stories from partners of the Shoestring Logistics project.

Low-cost pilot solutions for logistics companies include:

• Container unloading monitoring system for Meachers Global in which the company uses QR codes, Raspberry Pis and a smartphone to capture and display data on the time and resources involved in the unloading operation.
• Asset utilisation monitoring system for AMCO Logistics which uses vibration sensors and artificial intelligence to infer the status of VNA trucks (e.g., when they are in productive use or idle), thus helping the company estimate the percentage of time this equipment is used productively.
