Huntingdonshire Shoestring Awareness Workshop

The Economic Development team at Huntingdonshire District Council are on a mission to help improve business growth in their region. They have identified that the Shoestring approach could help manufacturing companies in the district and are consequently hosting a face-to-face Shoestring Awareness Workshop on 29 March. Keen to work with neighbouring districts, who are also part of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority, the workshop will also be open to manufacturers across Cambridgeshire.
Registration is from 10:00, the workshop will start at 10:30 and finish at 11:45, Shoestring demonstrators will be on show to view before and after the workshop.
Find out the easiest way for your company to get started with digitalisation using the Shoestring process in this Awareness workshop. In the workshop we will help you identify the challenges your business faces, the benefits you would like to see from a digital solution, and show you how low-cost digital solutions can help. All presented in plain English, the workshop helps you address business needs, and highlights the range of off-the-shelf low-cost technologies that make it low-risk to trial a digital solution in your company.
You will also have the chance to choose one of the top starter solutions – job tracking, power monitoring and temperature monitoring – to deploy in your company as part of the Smart Manufacturing Data Hub project, which is funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI)’s Made Smarter Innovation challenge. These starter solutions are designed to give companies hands on experience of digitalisation and, in many cases, deliver immediate business benefits.
